THE COMPAGNY

Created in Paris by Marlène Myrtil in 1998, Kameleonite company moved to Martinique in 2008 in order to develop a work inspired and touched by the overseas territories.

Research and creation‘s residencies are based on cultural heritage, environment as well as social issues in our post-colonial world. The repertory of the company - 16 works as of today - has been performed in France, Belgium, Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guyana and New York City.

Teaching in educational, social and psychiatric institutions is predominant and helpful to settle the work and priorities of the choreographer Marlene Myrtil.

The company has been sharing this approach by  working with dancer-performers, choreographers, visual artists, designers and filmmakers from Caribbean countries and Europe.
