"Through a deep connection between text and dance, Mylène Wagram and Marlène Myrtil re-actualize an imperishable nature of humanity.
Choose a script, a movement, a word, a gesture... These signs may characterize our history, symbolize our humanity, adjust our identity... Observe what remains... A substance that resonates... a choreographic and visceral word."

A few years ago, I was surprised to read a work that crossed my path of research : Humus by Fabienne Kanor. Humus is an “historical attempt to slide”, inspired by a few lines written by the Nantes captain of a slave ship in his logbook. The author alternates the voices of eleven African captives in slave trade with a sailor's song.
That is how the idea of a choreographic staging was born. Impérissable, was first created in 2009 as a dance conference inhabited by portraits of women with a thousand facets and temperaments of Africa. The show was a vibrant, dance-based tribute to the heroic act of 11 women attempting to escape from the boat Soleil.
In 2015, an initial exchange with Mylène Wagram opened up the prospect of re-creating Impérissable. Trajectoires marines open up the piece, with the women's portraits summoning up the history of peoples and updating our existential questions. Impérissable - Trajectoires marines connects us in this sensation of exhaustion to recognize the nobility of everyday life.
